About me

Hi I’m Joanne, a fully accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) with the British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) since 2012, with almost two decades of experience working within psychological and mental health services.

Throughout my career, I’ve supported individuals from diverse backgrounds, across a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, always offering a warm, empathic, and supportive space where people feel heard and understood. I’m passionate about helping people overcome challenges, make meaningful changes, and regain a sense of control and clarity in their lives.

My therapy sessions are structured, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based CBT approaches. I work together with each client to develop practical, personalised strategies that support their unique goals and wellbeing.

Professional Background

I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of settings, including:

  • NHS services, providing CBT in primary care with individuals who have self referred or been referred via their GP

  • Private organisations, supporting individuals seeking to return to work or sustain in the workplace

  • Corporate and insurance services, offering therapy to those accessing treatment via an employee assistance programme or a health insurance policy

Through working in diverse settings, I’ve gained a deeper understanding of how psychological struggles can show up in everyday life — and how tailored CBT support can make a meaningful difference.

If you’re ready to take the first step toward feeling better, let me support you on that journey.
